SWC’s BI Expert Speaks at the TDWI Chicago Chapter Meeting

August 9, 2012   //   Business Intelligence, , , , , ,

Join Chicago area IT consultants SWC’s Rachael Narel at the TDWI Chicago Chapter’s August 10th Meeting on Business Intelligence Solutions. Rachael will discuss why BI solutions get a bad rap for being complicated, expensive, and take way too long to implement. She will also go over the challenges many organizations face trying to achieve their end goals, including decentralized and complex data structures; users who are too busy to provide the necessary process input and have a hard time articulating requirements; and how to find a solution that provides the needed features within the allocated budget.

Most companies utilize a waterfall approach to Business Intelligence projects, but at this event, Rachael will share a better approach – agile business intelligence and the components needed for a successful and complete BI solution. An agile approach gives organizations a pragmatic solution released to users for production and immediate feedback. From there, organizations can continue to build out the capabilities in a building block mode, iterating and constantly enhancing the features and capabilities over time. The result is a more affordable and impactful Business Intelligence project, resulting in a faster ROI and increased user adoption and support.
