SWC Walks Their Way to Wellness and Another Company Culture Award
SWC is proud to announce winning Chicago Tribune’s Top Workplaces for the second year in a row – a recognition based solely on employee feedback. As an organization, we recognize that our people are our biggest asset, and we strive to create a company culture that promotes wellness, work/life balance, and career development opportunities. After all, happy employees make happy clients.
Beyond having excellent corporate culture, SWC’s wellness committee is constantly working on new initiatives to keep employees engaged and add value to the organization. One of the ways we do this is through a series informal social health-oriented activities throughout the year, designed to create a sense of camaraderie among employees, bridge the gap between departments and improve the health and wellbeing of employees both in and out of the office.
Walking Challenge for Wellness
This month, SWC kicked off a team-based walking challenge. In order to motivate and prepare employees to start walking their way into the New Year, SWC provided all employees with a $50 incentives to acquire a new fitness tracker. We also made sure to encourage the teams to stay engaged throughout the month with awesome prizes, including a chance to win a vacation day for all active participants from the winning team. The team that remains on top of the leader board will also receive a fruit smoothie day, and top individual walkers will be awarded cash prizes.
This month’s walking challenge is just one example of SWC’s uniquely comprehensive engagement programs, and one of the many reasons our employees have rated us a top workplace in Chicago. Beyond wellness, SWC has developed a wide variety of mentorship programs for entry-level talent, training, career development opportunities and much more to ensure employees remain dedicated to their careers and happy to come to work every day.
