SWC Digital Design

April 16, 2012   //   Digital Marketing, , , , ,

It’s been a little over a year now since we launched our digital marketing practice.  During that time we have produced more than a dozen sites, many of them on the SharePoint platform. Today we proudly showcase these projects on our digital portfolio.  But it’s where that portfolio resides that – I think – truly represents our greatest first team milestone; and that is our company website: www.swc.com

Recently we re-launched www.swc.com. We have always been proud of our brand and, in particular, our website.  For years it has (we believe) represented our firm through a polished aesthetic and crisp communication style.  But like anything else, there was room for improvement.  Our new site reflects a number of enhancements that are worth noting.  It is also a great example of our ability to deliver superior websites through our digital design practice.

Professional designers are not just classically trained but are also passionate about design.  They understand what works and what doesn’t and appreciate the idea that strong design serves a functional purpose.  The new www.swc.com leverages a “TILE” structure which is designed to provide efficient communication while maintaining a compelling aesthetic.  This approach is gaining strong momentum in digital design trends and is notably featured in the upcoming release of Windows 8.

As a consulting firm we are very focused on recruiting talented individuals that are team oriented and have a high level of integrity. This focus was recently recognized by Crain’s Chicago Business with SWC being ranked as one of the best places to work in the city. To underscore this commitment we paid particular attention to our SWC Careers page, investing in the production of “must see” employee videos.

Search Engine Optimization has become a critical component of marketing.  Our digital design practice has begun to staff SEO consultants and is now delivering this capability along with our site design offerings.  As we recreated swc.com we paid particular attention to SEO – not just in how we structured the site or the content we placed within it but in our platform and the processes that we will leverage in the days, weeks and months to come.

Indeed there has been great change to www.swc.com but in so many ways this change has been good.  I am more proud today of our website then I have ever been. Of course, there is more to come.  We have many planned enhancements which should be stunning and I will (like a proud parent) keep you posted on these developments.  In the interim, I am hopeful to collect your reaction to what we have just published.  Please take a look at the site and let me know your thoughts.
