The first half of 2015 featured a plethora of big announcements from Microsoft and Google. Not surprisingly, many of these releases, updates, and rollouts are reflected in our top 10 most popular blog posts of 2015. Microsoft Lync got a big rebrand in what is now Skype for Business, while Google made a splash with its mobile search algorithm update. Cloud and BYOD environments continue to trend as more organizations look to cut their infrastructure costs while allowing their workforce greater freedom with always-on access to productivity apps and company data.

  1. Skype for Business is Coming!
    One of the biggest releases of the year, Microsoft delivered the Skype for Business client patch to Lync 2013 on April 14th, while the official server release went live on May 1st.
