We’re One Step Closer to Exchange 2013

February 18, 2013   //   Unified Communications, , , , ,

As many of you may be aware, although Microsoft Exchange 2013 has been available for months, migrating from Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2010 is not yet supported. Well, I am excited to announce that Microsoft has now released updates to allow us the ability to migrate from Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2010. This means that all organizations running Exchange 2010 can now upgrade to Exchange 2010 SP3, and those running Exchange 2007 can move to Exchange 2007 SP3 RU10. But, don’t click that 2013 setup icon just yet, as the 2013 side will not be ready until Exchange 2013 CU1 is released sometime this quarter. One final note, there is no direct upgrade path for those still running Exchange 2003, a hop to Exchange 2010 will be required.

If you’d like assistance with planning your path and preparing for your migration, please feel free to reach out to us. To learn more about IT consulting firm, SWC’s Microsoft Exchange offering, please join us for our next Unified Communications event or follow Anthony Caragol on LinkedIn.
