Chicago Area Information Technology Associate Engineer Job

SWC is searching for an Associate Engineer to join our Network Operations Team. This individual will monitor the health of our customer’s environments (including Microsoft servers and networking equipment) and directly troubleshoot issues to remedy. They will also be responsible for handling incoming production support inquiries, and level II/III incidents/service requests. Job openings are available for the 2nd and 3rd shifts, as well as weekend shifts (4 day week).

The ideal candidate has a general understanding of system and network protocols, configurations, and operations, and can demonstrate experience completing complex core server and network infrastructure projects. Experience providing Level II and III support is also a plus. The ability to manage multiple tasks and quickly triage and resolve customer issues is required. This position reports to the Network Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new account opportunities via account research, calling prospective clients and driving attendance to SWC events.
  • Must be able to contact company decision makers and explain the benefits of SWC products and services.
  • Learn and articulate technical solutions.
  • Update and maintain the integrity of the new leads’ information ensuring current and accurate company data, contacts and notes of interaction

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 0-7 years of sales experience; recent college graduates are welcome to apply!
  • Excellent organizational, time management and research skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while remaining flexible and adaptive to change
  • Superior work ethic and a dynamic, positive attitude
  • Must have valid documentation to support U.S. work authorization.
