SWC Technology Partners Earns Microsoft Midwest Area Award
Oak Brook, IL | March 3, 2008 – IT Company SWC Technology Partners, a leading provider of innovative IT solutions to growing Chicago area organizations, received Microsoft’s Midwest Area Partner “Compete to Win” award last week. Microsoft Partner Community Manager Wade Shanley announced the winner at the company’s Midwest Area Partner Briefing held at the Microsoft Offices located in Downers Grove, Illinois.
SWC was selected from 40 nominated companies representing more than 8,800 partner companies in the region which includes Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin.
“Compete to Win” is a quarterly award presented by Microsoft to partner companies in recognition of key wins achieved by partners in tough, competitive environments. SWC won for a business intelligence solution sold to Lia Sophia, a national network marketer of jewelry collections based Wood Dale, Illinois.
“In a sales process that pitted a business intelligence software solution initially preferred by Lia Sophia’s management team against recently released Microsoft technology, SWC demonstrated the superiority of the Microsoft solution to effectively achieve the company’s goals,” said Mike Porter, Microsoft’s general manager for Midwest small and mid-market solutions and partner teams. “SWC clearly demonstrated its ability to sell Microsoft-based solutions in highly competitive situations and for this reason was selected to win this award,” he continued.
“I am very proud of the SWC team that competed for the Lia Sophia opportunity. We were up against serious and smart competitors. With this win, we brought home a terrific project for our consultants who will create a fantastic Microsoft-based business intelligence solution for our client. Congratulations to the entire team,” said Bob Knott, SWC Technology Partners CEO.
