Microsoft Announces Third Quarter Midwest Partner Awards Program Winners

Chicago, IL | May 31, 2006 –
Microsoft is pleased to announce the third quarter winners of the U.S. Field Partner Awards Program in the Midwest Area, consisting of Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. This program, held quarterly, recognizes the contributions of partners serving small, mid-market and enterprise commercial customers.

“Microsoft places a strong emphasis on their relationships with their partners and believes they should be recognized for their efforts over the past quarter,” said Mike Porter, Midwest Area general manager for Microsoft’s Small and Midmarket Solutions and Partners (SMS&P) Group. “As a company, establishing long-lasting relationships with our partners is a priority and we think it’s important to recognize those that performed exceptionally.”

In the third quarter, partners were recognized across six individual categories: Teamwork; Satisfaction & Experience; Loyalty; Marketing Excellence; Competency; and Compete. Category winners will also be entered into the annual Regional Awards program, presented this summer at the World-Wide Partner Conference in Boston. Winners for the Midwest area are as follows:

L & T Infotech – Teamwork

The Teamwork award recognizes situations where multiple partners work together to realize the full potential of solutions for the customer. L & T Infotech joined forces with Microsoft to demonstrate to a potential client how an SAP Portal and Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server can effectively coexist. As a result of these efforts, the client agreed to evaluate SharePoint as part of a global coexistence strategy with SAP Enterprise Portal, as well as the opportunity to license SharePoint Portal Server to 100,000 plus users globally in FY ’07.

Berbee Information Networks Corporation – Satisfaction & Experience

The Satisfaction & Experience award recognizes a partner who has provided consistently exceptional customer satisfaction. Berbee Information Networks Corporation is being recognized in this category for having installed a full Enterprise Project Management (EPM) solution for an organization that needed help improving communication and collaboration on projects. The installation of the EPM solution was extremely successful and changed the way the customer does business. After the implementation, the customer now delivers projects on time, leading to much more frequent improved business opportunities.

Skyline Technologies – Loyalty

The Loyalty award recognizes partners who have been exceptionally loyal to Microsoft either through tenure milestones, or through an outstanding act of loyalty that demonstrated their commitment to Microsoft. Now in their ninth year as a partner with Microsoft, Skyline Technologies has re-doubled their commitment to Microsoft by attaining Gold Certified Partner with the Custom Development, Data Management and Information Worker competencies. As a Microsoft partner, the entire company of more than 85 associates focuses on delivering Microsoft solutions within their designated competencies. Within North East Wisconsin, Skyline Technologies is known to customers as the “go to .Net Development Company”. In addition to their own early adoption of .Net programming from classic Visual Studio, they have helped clients understand the value that Microsoft technologies bring to them.

Subject Wills & Company – Marketing Excellence

The Marketing Excellence award recognizes partners who constantly seek to improve their processes and practices, sharing their expertise and ideas with others. In order to provide strategic insight into Microsoft technology and its application within today’s business and IT environments, Subject Wills & Company was able to effectively host two roundtables. The roundtables, which are a precursor of more to come, provide strategic insight into the technology and its application within today’s business and IT environments.

Berbee Information Networks Corporation – Competency

The Competency award recognizes exceptional expertise or competency by a partner in a specific industry, vertical, solution or segment. It also celebrates the partner’s commitment to their specific area of specialization. Berbee Information Networks Corporation, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, was hired to create a portal specific to a client’s needs, including allowing employees to access all applications and files from anywhere in the world using only a Web browser. The client, a non-profit organization, was utilizing a portal that did not have the desired functionality, look or feel. The innovated SharePoint portal solution Berbee created gave their client all of the functionality, security and stability they needed to fulfill their business goals.

PointBridge – Compete

The Compete award recognizes key competitive wins achieved by partners who secure tough competitive opportunities. PointBridge and Microsoft approached an organization that did not utilize a full suite of Microsoft products and therefore was not reaping the benefits of a fully integrated Microsoft business solution for the enterprise. After recreating current customer portals, PointBridge substantially enhanced the functionality in one week’s time. The well-received presentation led to the organization selecting Microsoft for portals and document management.
